Cuatro Casas Hostel

Off the grid and perched on the edge of a cliff, Cuatro Casas is an ideal surf spot and a great place to relax and enjoy Baja's wide open spaces. The beds are comfy and the atmosphere is laid back and convivial.

Hostel owner Richard cooks up delicious meals from fresh and local ingredients for his hostel guests. He has been living in this corner of the world for over 15 years and knows everything there is to know about the area. Perhaps the most low-impact hostel in Baja, Cuatro Casas remains refreshingly isolated. But there are plenty of activities to get up to here, from surfing the local break to skating the hostel's reknown "Showbowl". Whales pass by every year and lobster season is celebrated in style. The entrance to the National Park of San Pedro Martir is literally across the highway from the hostel, making it a great home base for day trips or stop-over en route to the park.

Dormitory beds include linens, pillows, and blankets. Booking a bed or a private room also gives you full access to the hostel's facilities, including hot showers, parking, and use of the Showbowl.

Other features: Rentals of all kinds (surfing, biking, etc), Parking, Storage space, Supplies (firewood, ice, water), Car Repairs. English spoken.

Rates:

  • $15 USD per dormitory bed per night.
  • $40 USD per private room per night (Max. 2 occupants).
