Setting the Scene:

Guerrero Negro is a relatively new town in Baja California. It was founded in 1957 out of need for a salt mine to supply the United States growing demand for salt. These days you can still visit the working mine which has turned into the largest producing salt mine in the World. It has also become a popular destination for tourists interested in viewing the Gray Whale migration during the Winter months.
